Year 3 Roman Legionary Training

Class 3DC and 3LB took part in a Roman training day. Here is a sneak peek into what they got up to!

Eisteddfod Alert!

Please find below a copy of the words to this year’s house song ‘Ar Lan y Môr'.  We’ve started learning it this week and you have all done brilliantly, but we’d love you to start working on the words at home as well.

Diolch yn fawr iawn, pawb!

Croeso 3LB! smiley

Welcome to the Juniors! I am hoping that you are all ready to start your exciting 'Junior Journey', sparkling and shining wherever we go!

Our PE days are Mondays and Thursdays - please can PE kits be brought into school JUST ON THOSE DAYS. If children forget their kits three times we will phone home. This half term we are focussing on dance and athletics.

Spellings will go home on a Monday and children will be tested on a Friday. The spellings will be put into a spelling book which the children will take home each evening to learn. They are to bring this book into school everyday as there will be opportunities for the children to practise them throughout the week. The children will then be tested on these spelling words in their spelling books so that you can see their progress. We will also upload the weekly spellings onto our class page each week (they are below in the star folders!).

High Frequency Word sheets will also be coming home this term identifying which of the high frequency words your child is able to spell. Words spelt incorrectly on this sheet are encouraged to be practised at home.

Don't forget to follow us on Twitter as there may be an action shot of your child throughout the week! @Spike CF14

Make sure you keep checking our class page to keep up to date with all the exciting things we are doing!

Thank you 3LB, children, parents and family members! I am absolutely positive that we'll make a fantastic 'Birdie Team' this year! indecision

From a very happy and proud,

Miss Bird x
