This half term we are taking a journey back in time to learn about the 'Creative Celts'!
WOW!
What a jam packed half term it has been! We have learned sooooooo much about the Celts - we've found out about Celtic fortresses and the roundhouses - what's inside and how they were used! We've learned about Celtic warriors and how they prepared for battle - they certainly were scary! We have learnt how to weave and explored different weaving patterns using a variety of different media. Our sketch books look fantastic!
We've also applied our literacy skills and written diary entries as if we were a Celt AND we've created our own Celtic comic strips!
We've certainly been busy and to end a fantastic topic, we went to St Fagans where we sat in a real roundhouse and saw some artefacts from the Iron Age. We created little videos using our oracy skills to showcase what St Fagans has to offer! They were brilliant! Take a look at our photos in the photo section.
It's been great fun! Now we have the Romans to look forward to next year....
