Welcome to the home of the Eco Committee who are known as the 'Eco Warriors'. Our role is to make sure that at Llysfaen Primary we do our very best to protect our planet and be a 'Platinum Flag School'. We are a hardworking team of children and we are very proud of our school and our committee.
Eco News
This term we have been very busy thinking of ways to help our school reduce our energy use through whole school initiatives including a weekly ‘no power hour’ and year group eco jobs around school. As a school we have managed to reduce the amount of electricity we use each week. We shared our actions in a local cluster of schools meeting and due to the impact they have had on our school, we were asked to present at the 'One Planet Cardiff' conference. As a result, we were awarded a new Platinum Green Flag and also £1000 of science equipment for our school. We have loved being part of this project.
