Week 10 - 15.06.20

Week 12 - 29.06.20

Dear Parents - we are really looking forward to welcoming your children back to school this week and we have been working hard to make sure the limited time we spend with them is used effectively. Our main focus over the next few weeks will be to develop the children’s mental, physical and emotional well - being  whilst providing opportunities to play and socialise through structured activities and unstructured breaks.

During week 1 we will be focusing on:

  • Activities and icebreakers that allow time for your children to talk and get used to being back at school.
  • Reflecting on our time at home over the past months
  • Playing socially distanced games.
  • Beginning to plan our ‘Virtual Leaver’s Assembly’
  • Learning about Shakespeare – Romeo and Juliet (through rap)

Week 13 - 29.06.20

Dear Parents - we had a fantastic first week back last week and we are eager to see the children again this week. Our main focus over the next few weeks will be to develop the children’s mental, physical and emotional well - being  whilst providing opportunities to play and socialise through structured activities and unstructured breaks.

During week 2 we will be focusing on:

  • Activities and icebreakers that allow time for your children to talk and get used to being back at school.
  • Playing socially distanced games.
  • SRE physical changes to our bodies through puberty, how humans reproduce, relationships and pregnancy.

Llanishen High School and Cardiff High School have asked us to provide you with transition documents in preparation for September. These can be found below for you to take a look at along with your family. We will also be showing them in school this week so you are familiar with the documents.

Week 14 - 12.07.20

Dear Parents – we have had another fantastic week and we are looking forward to our final week in school. We will be hosting a Sport’s Day for the children every day this week so please could your child wear the colour of their house to school. In addition, we will be preparing for our Thursday afternoon Leaver’s Picnic.
