Carol Service At St Denys

On Monday we embarked on our usual Christmas trip to the church. It was really exciting as Year 6 did their own narration to tell the story of Mary and Joseph. Another thing we did at the church was singing songs as year groups and as a school. This trip to the church couldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Reverend Ross and Reverend Jim.

Towards the end, Ross did a sermon and used a chocolate orange to show the meaning of Christmas. It was dropped and broken into equal parts. The round shape of the chocolate orange represented earth and how without the wrapper (God) inside it was dark and cold. He then opened it and when he put the segments together it represented an angel that came down to earth to save us and tell us everything was better now.

Diolch, St Denys.
