Eisteddfod Celebrations!
From the 28th of February to the 1st of March the Llysfaen Eisteddfod was held. For the first time ever, the Eisteddfod was held over three days. There was everything from the art competition to the recitation. Everyone had lots of fun and worked incredibly hard.
Then on Friday, the bardic ceremony was held. The finalists were called and then it was time for the crowning of the Bard. The name of the Bard was called out and then the Bard had the crown and the cloak placed on them. The flower dancers then danced around the winning Bard before they then read out their poem and their parents came in. The Bard was given a Welsh love spoon, a dragon toy and a daffodil pin.
As for the house points, Ty Coch won the Eisteddfod by 5 house points, only just beating Ty Melyn. Everyone had lots and lots of fun and thank you to the staff for such a brilliant day.
