Meet Our Players!
Player of the match
We usually have one player of the match but it was too hard to choose one. We are proud to announce that our two players of the match were, Amiee and Daniel. They were our players of the match, but we think that really everyone was a part of our success and we think that everyone deserved a player of the match. Unfortunately, we only have one trophy!
Last Thursday, Year 2 went to St Fagans, which is an interesting museum based around victorians. They went into some interesting houses, built over 200 years ago. They saw a bird fighting cage, a Welsh knot went to a Victorian school where they saw some brutal punishments, and some brave pupils helped out the teachers. Sadly, the weather wasn’t on their side, it was extremely foggy! They sincerely enjoyed it, most pupils gave it a 10/10 experience.
Last week on Thursday, some year 6's went to the House of Sport to compete in a netball tournament. Aimee, who was WD ,GD and GS says that she enjoyed and her favourite part was winning.(every.single.match). Daisy E, who played GS and GA, said that she liked it and her very favourite part was winning and also got player of the match.
Belle G,who was GA and C said that her favourite part was when they all got strawberries! They drew the semi final 5-5 so they went into extra time and won 7-6. Before they then won the final 5-2 which now takes them through to the National Championships in Aberystwyth!
Last week in Llysfaen primary school (16.01.25), disaster struck! The night before, a pipe had burst, leaving most of Lisvane without water. Welsh Water promised Llysfaen primary school that there would be water the day after. For the entire day, we couldn't see because of fog. Since we had no water we had to leave half a day early, at around 11 o’clock! Many pupils were overjoyed at hearing this, a few were not. Many parents were confused when they heard a cheer caused by many pupils. Many of llysfaen’s pupils enjoyed a day at home straight away, but some had a while for their parents to pick them up. As some pupils have parents who have jobs where they can’t pick them up straight away.
“This is the best day ever!” screamed one of the school’s students cheerfully.
“I felt on top of the world when Mr Cannon told us the school would be closed for the rest of the day,” Stated one of the year 6s.
“Yayyy!!” was the word that was most heard across the playground.
“I want school to continue,”stated one of the year 6s truthfully.
